John F. Kennedy
Most people think of John F. Kennedy as a hale and hearty New England sporting sort, but it appears that he suffered from various health issues throughout his life. In fact, by the time he took office, he had to deal with near-constant pain.
Among his myriad lifelong ailments, Kennedy had Addison’s disease, a hormonal disorder that causes joint pain and gastrointestinal problems, and osteoporosis in his lower back. Presidential historian Robert Dallek said that there wasn’t a day when the man wasn’t suffering terribly. How awful!
